Yvan Conoir

M. Yvan CONOIR holds a Licence ès Sciences Politiques, a Diploma of the Graduate Institute of High International Studies as well as a MBA - Master in Business Administration. He started his career as a journalist and later worked for 20 years with the High Commissioner of UNHCR, UNICEF, Care Canada, the Centre canadien d’études et de coopération internationale (CECI) ,the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre (PPC)  and the Peace Operations Training Institute in Humanitarian, Reconstruction, DDR/SSR, Peacebuilding, Food Security, Capacity building and Training programmes. He worked and lived in Central, Eastern and Western Africa, South Asia, Central and Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and the Balkans.

In the most recent years, Yvan Conoir has specialized in Evaluation and Programming initiatives in the DDR and Peacebuilding  fields as a consultant for CIDA, the World Bank, the European Commission and Universalia. He has a strong expertise in the management of Results Based Management processes and Evaluation techniques adapted to Peace and Security programmes and initiatives. He authored various publications such as «L’Action humanitaire du Canada (PUL-2002)», “Faire la paix – concepts et pratiques de la consolidation de la paix (PUL-2005)” and “DDR – défis humains, enjeux globaux (PUL-2006)” as well as specialized Manuals for UNITAR.
