Naeem Khalid
Naeem Khalid(PhD) is a course convener and lecturer on NGOs and Development Management. He holds a Masters degree in Social Sciences of Islamic and A Ph.D in Social Development Studies with specialization on NGO sector development interventions in Middle East and Asia. He has nine years experience of lecturing and training development professionals in the fields of development programme cycle management (PCM) of whom many are now working in Afghanistan. His book is forthcoming with Oxford University Press on Critical Analysis of NGOs in Pakistan. Additionally Dr Khalid has accumulated 5 years experience of working in field based contexts in Asia and Middle East in a range of social research and social development consultancy capacities with donors, northern and local NGOs as well as with target beneficiaries at the grassroots in both long-term development and humanitarian contexts.
His specific expertise focuses on in integrated development programmes of national NGOs and sector-specific assignments that have a Results Oriented Approaches towards Management and Disbursement also including Child Labour and primary educational and training (with Save the Children-UK under the ILO framework, Oslo, Pakistan, Enlighten-Palestine); Micro Finance and Enterprise development (National Rural Support Programme, Pakistan, Goodenough Trust, India) Trust; Multi sectoral poverty focused programme analyses assignments (ODA, now DfID, Pakistan, Commonwealth Secretariat, UK), Urban Livelihood Programme, Egypt), Income Generation programmes for Afghan Refugees, save the Children-US, Pakistan).Integrated Water Supply Schemes, Action Aid, Pakistan & Institution building and Housing for Women, Oxfam, Pakistan and India.
