Alfred Horn is a seasoned development expert with particular experience in transition and post-conflict countries. A social scientist and development anthropologist by training he served 5 years in the European Parliament as a political analyst with a focus on international affairs before he took to field. As Country Director of the German Development Service in Sudan and Program Coordinator of German NGOs in the Great Lakes Region and on the Balkans he has won a reputation as an expert in the sectors of rehabilitation, reintegration, and community development. Job creation, vocational training and the promotion of civic society are his specific concern. Currently he is again involved in activities for the promotion of peace and reconciliation in Sudan and Central Africa.
